Earlier this winter, Printing Industries of New England (PINE), the nonprofit trade association serving the printing and graphic communications industry, held its first annual food drive. Here at Shawmut Communications Group, we were delighted to participate in this event which benefited the Worcester Food Bank.
Along with PINE members from five New England states, Shawmut kicked off the food drive just before Thanksgiving and continued to collect donations right through the New Year. We placed collection boxes in our lobby to remind employees to donate and even inspired some of our clients to participate. With collections from Shawmut and more than a dozen other members, PINE was able to donate nearly an entire truckload of food to the Worcester Food Bank.
“Our employees and clients really came through for the food drive,” said Stacy Slaney, Vice President of Shawmut Communications Group. “At Shawmut we make it a priority to give back and we’re proud to support organizations like the Worcester Food Bank that make such a difference in our communities.”
Shawmut salutes PINE for their work in pulling together this incredible food drive and we look forward the 2nd annual food drive which will be held this coming fall. Our thanks go out to PINE and all the members who participated this year to make this food drive such a success!
